General

After applying your hair extension/hair thickening, the hair must not be washed and brushed heavily for at least 24 hours so that the joints harden. The hair must never be combed or brushed when wet, in such a case there is a risk of hair breakage. Before combing or brushing the hair, it should ideally be dried beforehand (especially the natural hair and the joints). Tearing and tugging on wet hair should be avoided at all costs. It is recommended to sort the strands with your fingers at least three times a day.

Hair Wash

Carefully brush the hair with a special extension brush before washing it, loosening any knots with your fingers.

Never wash the hair upside down. Washing is ideally done in the shower or at the back wash basin at the hair salon. Washing upside down can cause tangles.

Distribute the required amount of shampoo in your hands and gently knead into the hair. When doing this, avoid unnecessary rubbing and rubbing, especially at the roots and joints.

Use a hair treatment after every hair wash. Simply distribute the treatment in your hands and apply to the tips and lengths. When doing so, spare the connection points. The hair treatment should be left on for at least 10 minutes, then please rinse thoroughly.

A hair extension should not be washed more than three times a week.

Dry

Do not rub the hair after washing, but gently knead dry with a towel. Only after drying should the hair be brushed. The balm and spray treatment can be used before or after drying. Blow dry the hair almost dry and only then style as desired. If you want to air dry the hair, blow dry the joints anyway.

Brush

In addition, the hair should be brushed several times a day with the special extension hairbrush (ideally in the morning and evening). Always brush the tips first, then the lengths and finally the roots, i.e. always from the bottom up, holding the connection points with one hand.

Styling

Human hair extensions allow you to treat them almost the same as your own hair when styling. They can be styled, kneaded, laid, blow-dried, curled or straightened as desired.

When styling with heat-emitting appliances (blow dryers, straighteners, hot rollers, etc.), be very careful at the junctions. If the heat is too high, the strands may come loose or individual hairs may fall out of the strand.

In preparation for this, a heat protection cream or spray should always be used to protect the hair from drying out due to the heat.

Please keep in mind that straightening the hair can lead to split ends and hair breakage. Therefore, if possible, this should not be done too often and only at a maximum temperature of 180° C.

Sleep

Never put to sleep with wet hair. Blow dry their hair, never let them air dry in any case. Brush the hair extension well before sleeping and either just braid a loose braid or tie it loosely to avoid tangles.

Free Time Activities

Tie hair extensions into a braid before bathing in chlorine and salt water and before visiting the sauna. Swimming with open hair should be avoided at all costs.

Never expose the connection points to long and direct sunlight. In case of long exposure to the sun, a heat protection spray is recommended.

When using sunscreen, self-tanner, tanning spray, etc., make absolutely sure that the extensions do not come into contact with it, as this can cause discoloration on the hair. Tie the extensions up before use.

Use a moisturizing hair treatment and hair oil after spending time in salt and chlorinated water. This will protect your hair extensions from drying out and give them shine and smoothness. Also, during sports activities (fitness, jogging, cycling, etc.) tie your hair into a braid or chignon beforehand.

Coloring/Blonding/Permanent Waves

Chemical products can damage the connection points and the hair structure. Therefore, we rather advise against chemical post-treatment of the extensions. If you still want to dye or bleach your hair extensions, please use oxydants that contain max. 6% H²O². After coloring, repairing hair treatments should be applied regularly. Since a lot can go wrong during tinting, coloring and perming, all warranty claims will expire if the extensions are treated afterwards.

Never use products containing fruit acid (e.g. Fructis) on hair extensions. The fruit acid contained dissolves the keratin bonds.
